Prof. Dr. Martin Grosse Holtforth received the Senior Distinguished Research Career Award at the 57th International Annual Meeting of the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR) in Osaka.
Prof. Dr. Antoine Adamantidis has been promoted to Full Professor (Ordinarius) of Systemneurophysiology by the University's Executive Board. The promotion took effect on August 1, 2026, at the beginning of the autumn semester.
PD Dr. med. Morin Beyeler earned his habilitation and was appointed to the academic rank of Privatdozent (PD). Morin Beyeler was with the Department of Neurology until May 31, 2026, and remains connected to the clinic as an affiliated scientist. His research primarily covers stroke medicine, specializing in cancer-associated stroke, mechanical thrombectomy, and transient ischemic attacks (TIA).
PD Dr. med. Nedelina Slavova was awarded her habilitation on June 9, 2026. This honors her scientific achievements as well as her commitment to research and teaching. She is a resident physician at the Department of Neurology and works at the Outpatient Neuro Center as part of the Headache Clinic.
Prof. Dr. med. Gerd Tinkhauser, PhD, MHBA was appointed Associate Professor at the University of Bern on July 1, 2026. This academic honor recognizes his outstanding achievements in research and teaching, as well as his internationally recognized work on the neurophysiological study of movement disorders and the advancement of deep brain stimulation.
