At the inaugural ICH Academy Meeting (IAM) on the ESOC pre-conference day, Dr. Bernhard Siepen has won the Research Prize and was awarded with EUR 10’000 for the best research project.
The Multiple Sclerosis Cockpit for the digital early detection of patients at risk recognises innovative and tried-and-tested quality work that advances healthcare in Switzerland. The Swiss Academy for Quality in Medicine (SAQM) honoured the project with first place. 56 quality projects from all over Switzerland applied for the fourth edition of Innovation Qualité. The quality prize in the ‘Patient Safety’ category was endowed with CHF 15,000.

A pioneering study led by Prof Urs Fischer and Prof Jürgen Beck (Neurosurgery, Freiburg University Medical Centre) shows that a surgical procedure to reduce intracranial pressure in severe deep brain haemorrhages can save lives and reduce consequential damage.
