We are honoured to welcome Prof. Dr. Padmavathyamma Narayanapillai Sylaja to Bern. She is one of the world’s leading experts in neurovascular research and stroke medicine and has made major contributions to the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of stroke worldwide.

On the occasion of the conferral of her Honorary Doctorate by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bern, Prof. Sylaja will hold a public Guest Lecture on Friday, December 5, 2025, on the following topic:

“Preventing and Treating Stroke – A Global Challenge”
