Vom 4. bis 8. Juli 2022 fand im Hauptgebäude der Universität Bern die ICTALS (International Conference on Technology and Analysis for Seizures) statt und war ein grosser Erfolg. Nationale und internationale Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler sowie Ärztinnen und Ärzte versammelten sich mit einem gemeinsamen Ziel: quantitative Methoden zur Analyse von Anfällen einzusetzen, um Epilepsie besser zu verstehen und behandeln.
Die ICTALS 2022 mit dem Titel «the tipping point» reihte sich in die lange Tradition mit dem Ziel der Anfallsprognose ein. Der Schwerpunkt lag auf einem tieferen Verständnis von möglichen Faktoren, die dazu beitragen, dieses Ziel zu erreichen.

The ICTALS conference (International Conference on Technology and Analysis for Seizures) was held at the main building of the University of Bern from 4-8 July, 2022. The event was a great success. It gathered national and international scientists and clinicians around one common goal: use quantitative methods to analyze seizures and better understand and treat Epilepsy.
The 2022 edition of ICTALS, entitled «the tipping point» inscribed itself into the long tradition of aiming at forecasting seizures. It put emphasis on a deeper understanding of possible factors that may help attain this goal.
